Winter Storm Event

Due to an impending winter weather event, JAX will suspend all fixed-route services at 2:30 PM today. We hope this precaution allows riders to complete essential activities—such as running errands, having lunch, or spending time at the Carbondale Public Library reading a good book—before conditions worsen.

The safety of our riders, the public, and our staff is our top priority. Operating large buses on snowy roads with limited visibility poses significant risks, so we are erring on the side of caution. We encourage everyone to plan accordingly and complete their activities as early as possible.

Please note that the Saluki Night Shuttle will also be suspended. Paratransit services will continue for riders scheduled until 4:30 PM, weather permitting, as these smaller vehicles may operate safely under the conditions.
