Carbondale Township Partners with JAX

JAX is pleased to announce a unique partnership with Carbondale Township. The partnership between Carbondale Township and JAX Mass Transit allows eligible township clients to receive free transportation on the JAX Route System.

This initiative enhances mobility for residents by providing easy access to essential services, employment, and community activities without the burden of transportation costs. By eliminating transit fees, the program supports those in need, promotes inclusivity, and encourages the use of public transportation. This partnership reflects a commitment to improving quality of life for Carbondale Township clients while fostering greater connection to the city’s resources and opening up opportunities through reliable and accessible public transit options.

Eligible township clients can access the Jackson County Health Department, the courthouse, the Murphysboro food pantry, the housing authority, Walmart, Schnucks, Kroger and so much more!
